Wollybuggers come in a variety of colors and you can choose whatever material colors appeal to you, but the most typical colors are olive, black, brown, and white. In this recipe we tie an olive bugger.
- Hook: Woolybuggers are tied on 4X long streamer hooks. We'll use a size 10 but you can go larger or smaller depending on the size fly you want to tie.
- Bead: a brass 5/32 bead head (appropriate for the size 10 hook)
- Thread: olive
- weight: lead free wire
- Tail: an olive maribou blood feather
- Body: olive chenille
- Hackle: olive
