Eggs Over Easy

This egg pattern is constructed differently from the typical egg fly and in addition to being attractive to both trout and the tier it is easy one to tie.  Tier Tim Flagler comments that although it looks pretty good on your tying vice it really shines in the water.

• Hook:                   2X short caddis/scud hook or other egg hook in size 14 or 16
• Thread:                6/0 in either white or color to match the body material
• Egg body:            egg yarn in whatever color you prefer
• Marker:                an indelible red marker
