Baetis Foam Emerger

This is a simple to tie pattern developed by Craig Mathews, owner of Blue Ribbon Flies in West Yellowstone.

• Hook:                    dry fly hook in sizes 18 to 22
• Thread:                 olive
• Body:                    olive super fine dubbing (use light or medium olive to match the naturals)
• Wing:                    strip of thin gray foam such as razor foam cut to size
• Hackle:                 dun (either dry fly or wet fly hackle)
