Beat the winter blues at Fly Fest 2024! This all-ages event showcases fly tyers from near and far. Meet, chat and tie alongside some of today's most innovative, contemporary and traditional, Catskill style fly tyers. Or, simply watch as they weave their magic of fur and feathers on steel. Crafts & fly tying for kids will be available!

Catskill Fly Fishing Museum Fly Fest - 2022
MHTU participated in Fly Fest 2022, on 2/26 sponsored by The Catskill Fly Fishing Museum and the Rockland House.
About 200 people attended this event, held at the Rockland House, Roscoe NY. Over 35 fly tyers shared info on tying materials, fly patterns, tying tricks and techniques. The tradition of "Catskill School" style flies came to life at the vises of so many generous and talented tyers.
From Anthony Magardino, CFFM Director: Thank you Mid-Hudson TU!! Thank you all for making Fly Fest 2022 a huge success. Not only was it well attended, with lots of smiling faces. But, most importantly seeing our youth putting down the phones, and becoming engaged in what we hope will become their future passion.
