Pine Squirrel Streamer

The pine squirrel streamer is an effective old pattern, easy to tie, that can be tied in in a variety of colors but darker colors are usually preferred particularly olive, black, brown, and brown olive.  In this recipe will use brown olive zonker strips to imitate a sculpin. 

• Hook:               6X long streamer hook in size 4                         
• Thread:            6X brown olive or similar
• weight:            not required but may be added if desired -lead free wire
• Tail:                  brown olive zonker strip
• Tail Support    brown craft foam
• Body:               brown olive zonker strip wound around the hook shank
