As is customary at the December meeting, wewill not have a specific fly of the month. Instead we ask everyone to look at their collection of flies and pick out any and all that they would like to donate and bring them to the meeting for the raffle. The winner will take all!

The Muddler Minnow is a perenial favorite streamer which most of us carry in our fly box. It was developed years ago by Minnesota tier Don Gapen to imitate sculpins, a favorite trout prey, which are found in streams across the country. When greased the Muddler also serves as a hopper. Tim Flagler's video which accompanies the tying instructions demonstrates some steps that simplify the tying of this fly.

Frank DeGrazio Guide Manager from the Anglers Den will share his knowledge of Steelheading in New York’s Salmon River. He will cover the public and private access of the 13 mile river, and its regulations. He will also include some of his favorite and most productive areas of the river.
