MHTU February Membership Meeting: 2/21/22 at 7 pm, Speaker: Nate Hill

At our meeting Feb 21, Nate Hill, owner and head guide of Hill Country Guides will talk about flyfishing for wild brook trout.

Nate Hill grew up flyfishing in his native New England.  While in college he worked as an intern in Livingston, Montana for the Federation of Fly Fishers.

Returning east he became the head guide for North Country Angler in Conway NH, from 2010 to 2017.

In 2018 Nate started his own outfitting business, Hill Country Guides based out of The Riverwood Inn in Jackson NH.

Nate's passion is chasing wild brook trout in small mountain streams, and ponds. On his days off he can often be found with his daughter Vivian or son Ellis on his back, or by his side, helping him net native trout.

He is the former Chair and a current board member of the NH chapter of The Native Fish Coalition, a grassroots non-profit whose mission is to: protect, preserve, and restore wild native fish populations through stewardship of fish and their habitats.

From December through February Nate can be found instructing skiing at Attitash Ski Resort.
