MHTU September Membership Meeting: Monday, Sept 20 at 7 pm; Meeting is On-Line via ZOOM

Steel On!

Chrome, Silver Bullets, Steelhead-- no matter what you call them, the big rainbow trout that migrate each fall from Lake Ontario into its tributaries make for an exciting angling destination.

At our September meeting of MHTU, guest speaker Dave Agness will discuss:

  • Strategy on three types of fishing for them (nymphing, indicator fishing, and swinging streamers)

  • Characteristics of migrating steelhead

  • Tackle and rigging techniques for all three styles

  • Displays of steelhead rods, reels, and flies

Also joining us will be Lindsay Agness, NYSCTU VP, Women's Initiatives.  Join us, ladies, and give Lindsay a big welcome.
