MHTU June Membership Meeting: 6/21/21 at 7 pm

Note: Meeting will be at the American Legion Hall, in person. Please continue to follow proper COVID protocols

On June 21 MHTU will resume in person meetings with guest speaker Anthony Magardino of the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum (CFFCM) in Livingston Manor, NY.

The CFFCM is a treasure trove of angling artifacts, “keeper of the flame” -- past, present, and future -- of Catskill fly fishing traditions and heritage, as well as the annual gathering place for the world’s most talented bamboo rod makers.

Magardino, who is a board member and the CCFCM treasurer, will present a brief history and overview of the CFFCM, its mission, goals, and priorities.

Anthony J. Magardino grew up in Westchester, New York, and had the good fortune to spend his summers an hour and a half away in Roscoe, along a certain trout stream that’s been written about quite a bit over the years...the Legendary Beaverkill. He is a former director of the American Museum of Fly Fishing in Vermont, a lifetime member of Trout Unlimited, and currently sits on TU’s New York State Counsel’s Development Committee. Every year, his company, The Beaverkill Rod Co. hosts an outing for disabled veterans, including personalized rods engraved with each participant’s name, rank and branch of the service, on prized private water on the upper Neversink River.
