OPEN HOUSE FLY TYING & FLY TYING MATERIALS SWAP

On November 15 at 7pm, at the American Legion Riders Post 1302. 55 Overlook Rd, Poughkeepsie (NY), 12603, Mid Hudson Trout Unlimited will hold an “Open House Fly Tyers Event and Fly Tying Materials Swap.”
We are fortunate to have guest fly tyer, Joe Rist, owner of Trout Town Flies in Roscoe, NY. Joe is a licensed NYS fishing guide, fly fishing instructor, and outfitter specializing in Catskill trout waters and has developed his fly patterns to imitate local hatches. Joe will share a few of his favorite flies and how to tie them.
There will be tables and chairs set up for others to tie, share fly tying tips and fly patterns. Bring your own tying tools and materials -- and you might want to bring a small table top lamp to help with lighting.
Beginner? No problem. We have a few crackerjack fly tyers willing to show new dogs old tricks.
Show us your “go-to fly” or a tried and true traditional fly pattern, or your new secret weapon!
FLY TYING MATERIALS HOARDERS (you know who you are!) Here is your chance. Spread the wealth by offering your surplus for trade or sale. SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!
TAKE A CHANCE! YOU COULD WIN OUR FLY TYING MATERIALS GRAB BAG RAFFLE. We will raffle off a sack of fur, feathers, and such. All quality materials - no clunkers!
