Due to concerns about the spread of the Corona virus, the March 16 Membership Meeting Program is Cancelled - Speaker: Joe Rist: "Hidden Gems of The Catskills"

NOTE: Meeting starts at 7 pm, but Joe will arrive at 6 pm to tie a few favorite flies, and “talk fishing”.

Catskill rivers such as the Beaverkill, Willowemoc, and Delaware, are some of the most storied of all trout waters.  But they can, especially during peak hatch periods, get crowded, or worse,  become blown out after flooding rains. What then?  Joe Rist will discuss strategies for fishing Catskill tributary streams, the overlooked and underfished "hidden gems of the Catskills."

Joe Rist, a member and past president of Mid Hudson Trout Unlimited is a 3rd generation fisherman and a New York State licensed fishing guide.  He splits his time between home base in the Hudson Valley, and a fishing camp on the banks of the Beaverkill River.
