Detailed instructions for tying a BPS Spent Caddis.

We all run into situations when there spent caddis on the water.  Here’s an easy to tie pattern with only three materials including the thread.  You can modify body material and wing colors to match the hatches that you fish.

  • Hook:         dry fly in sizes 14,16,18
  • Thread:      black 70 denier (8/0)
  • Body:         peacock herl
  • Wings:       fine bleached deer hair
